This plane could be flying in a matter of weeks- All parts fabricated- NOTHING TO FABRICATE- this is a restoration that is in excellent condition- no accidents, no damage- the original builder sold the plane after flying off the time in Nevada and getting ill back in 1987/88- it was sold and moved to Florida, then to Maryland then to New Jersey- now it is in Central Virginia. Lots of original documentation including airworthiness certificate and original logs come with it. No radio, no inverted system- alternator installed so it will handle electrics.
1987Acrosport II- N209JG. Original covering removed, all parts to be covered were inspected and recovered with Superflite IV June 2008. The work is excellent and done by an experienced tube and fabric A&P. Covered control surfaces primed with Superflite primer. Balance of unopened Superflite primer materials needed comes with sale to finish fuselage and wings. O-360-A1D runs great! Engine shows 1930 since new and the engine log 30 hrs SMOH by Dick Waters/Don George (Orlando) at 1900 hrs back in 1987. The engine has a solid flange crank. (good for aerobatics) and a plugged hollow crank (good for constant speed prop installation). Lycoming Crankshaft AD 98-02-08 complied with 11/09- no pitting or corrosion found- images avaiable. Treated per MSB. M4-5 carb rebuilt per Lycoming SB with new float, gaskets and needle valves. This engine runs great, is very tight and has no leaks.
AF Logs show TTAF at 30 hrs. Full controls front and rear. Ready for primer on wings and fuselage (all new, unopened Superflight primer materials included with sale) and final assembly. Aircraft is complete, and all has been stored inside home with fuselage in enclosed garage. All that is needed to complete is misc AN hardware, seat cushions, tires, bungees and, perhaps, aeroquip fuel and oil lines. New flying wires included. Solid airplane. Original Special A-W certificate and aircraft limitations.
